Smack UI is incredible and i truly hope Nokia doesn’t toss it away before somebody else takes the glory of it. Try the Smack UI on N950 or N9 for week or two and you are swiping away from apps on your iPad 2, it happens.
Ixda (Interaction Design Association) that has 25,000 members, all who are in some way related to interaction design have nominated Nokia’s Smack UI for People’s Choice Award. Really as it goes, both Smack UI and Windows Phone Mango are nominated.
The minimalistic form of Nokia N9 complements the simplicity of how it works, and has been designed without compromising the reliability you’ve come to expect from Nokia phones. The hardware and software design complement each other perfectly by bringing together the broadmindedness of use of smack gesture.
